Made from 50% Carmenère and 50% Oseleta – an old and quite rare Veronese variety – Carmenos is a sweet wine made in a passito style. The grapes are dried for 3 months to concentrate the sugars, flavours and acidity, before being de-stemmed, gently pressed and fermented and macerated for over 40 days. The wine rests in tank for 6 months before bottling. The result is a darkly fruited and chocolatey sweet wine with a structural grip. R&R
