Casavecchia

Legend has it that Casavecchia is the lost grape of the Roman Trebulano and was rediscovered near a ruined house (casa = house vecchia = old) in the form of a single tree-like specimen from which cuttings were taken, and all the current plantings descend. It typically produces darkly hued and cherry scented wines with fine structure and good longevity.
