Each vintage, before the wine is assembled in large Slavonian casks, Roberto Bianco selects the best barrel from his Ovello Cru. That barrel then forms the ‘Bianco Alfredo e Figli’ bottling, an homage to the family’s winegrowing history – as suggested by the historic etichetta – and an extremely rare bottling. This is Roberto’s most powerful and age-worthy offering, a nod to tradition with an eye firmly set on the future. R&R
