The fruit for Caterina Carli’s Brunello di Montalcino is primarily sourced from her home vineyard in the elevated heart of the traditional Brunello growing area. Her property was historically part of a convent and farm, with the land under vine once a section of Conti Costanti’s fabled Colle al Matrichese vineyard. Her wines are pure, classical expressions of site, variety and vintage unobstructed by artefact – a legacy of decades of work with the late, great master of Sangiovese, Giulio Gambelli. R&R
