Romagna Sangiovese Superiore DOC
Dark and tarry nose, with hints of currants, cedar, black spice and woody herbs lacing the cherry-scented – both black and red – fruit. This is immediately more brooding and ‘serious’ than the ‘Oddone’, with the primary fruit ‘knocked back’ with keenly judged and light-handed barrel maturation. This savoury cast knits into a tersely structured palate, part territorial and part élevage, that make this classical food-friendly Sangiovese. R&R
