Nero d'Avola with a small percentage of local varieties. Lifted nose of red and black fruits accented by classic territorial notes of baked earth and spiced plum; roasted almonds come through on the palate, with a snappy, skinsy feel to the tannins via a cherry pit/plum skin character, this has the more traditional feel when compared to the Sciavè, composed and savoury.
