70% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot. The vines are planted to classic Tuscan Galestro soils at 250m elevation with a south-west aspect. All fruit is hand-picked and fermented spontaneously, undergoing 18–20 days of skin contact. Ferments are predominantly plunged, with occasional pumping over. The wine is raised in French barriques for a minimum of 15 months, and is bottled without fining or filtration. R&R
