100% Primitivo. The La Signora vineyard is located between Manduria and the sea, in a zone of ‘terre rossa’ on a bed of limestone. The average vine age is 55 years. The fruit is and harvested into small boxes. Fermentation occurs in small open vats, with hand plunging and temperature control at a maximum of 28°C. Traditional soft basket pressing is followed by maturation in new French barriques for 12 months. The wine is further matured in bottle for a minimum of 24 months. R&R
